Re: Slicer for Photon but without anycubic brand...

What do the files really hold? Based on how the printer works, some parameters for the printer like layer times, etc. as well as the raster images for each sliced layer in binary format. So does it mean that the slicer is generating images with maybe half-voxel versus straight-up black/white only ou...

Re: Slicer for Photon but without anycubic brand...

I downloaded it - can't say I see any functional changes, but I do have to rename the filetype to make sure it is compatible with the Photon.

Resin Test - 3Dfacture Castable Green

This is a resin sold by 3DFacture for use with their Draken DLP resin printer. It is not pigment-based, so it does not suffer from separation issues, but can be influenced by over-exposure. Can be sliced at 25-50 um and supports X-Y resolution down to 30 um. Photon Slicer Parameters: 0.05 mm layer h...

Re: Build in Leveling Bubbles? to make it easy to level the machine (And make sure they can be replaced easily)

Is leveling really important? As long as the build plate is parallel to the vat surface and the vat is perpendicular to the linear rail(s), the overall tilt of the machine shouldn't matter, right? Biggest impact is the resin level in the vat.

By putting some paper towel in front of the vat, you can just pull the build plate off, rotate it 90° and put it back on the peg to allow it to drip dry. If you try to make the build plate rotate, you will find it harder to keep level between prints (see designs that use a ball head for the mount as...

Re: I am having g a hard time reading the screen while it is printing...

I think part of the legiblity problem is the choice of cyan as the font color. If you made it black, it would be easier to read.

Using a sans serif font as well would be very helpful.

Re: Z axis ringing / wobble? Or software issue?

If there is any play between the lead screw and linear guide, any abnormal rotation of the lead screw will cause banding. If the lead screw is not parallel to the linear guide, you will see some amount of banding proportional to the different in angle between the screw and guide. On Thingiverse, the...

Re: Invisible film on bottom of vat

Was that resin actually cured to the film? I know that the FEP film with become contaminated with a thin layer of resin, almost like oil. Using some IPA to get it nice and clean does help. This is part of the reason why you should not leave resin in the vat for long periods of time to allow the FEP ...
